Short Getaway

This is the fourth time ASG are going Malaysia. But this time round, we going concentrate on 1 location, Genting Highlands. This trip was first suggested by joyce during cq and sl bday celebration. After 1 week of discussion, we went to five stars tour to book for our package, five stars tour gives the cheapest price because of the 5% rebate for using OCBC card. We originally wanted to stay at the resort hotel because it is bigger and it had just been renovated recently. But sadly they said that the room is full, so we had to settle on the famous first world hotel.

Day 1

We meet up at boonlay shopping centre at around 7am. The bus was on time, and we leave the place at 7.30am sharp. By the time we reached tuas checkpoint, there was already a big jam. It took us quite a while for us to clear both the sg and my checkpoint. By the time we reached our first rest stop at yong peng, it is already 10am. We had a quick breakfast there before continue our journey to Genting. We reached the bus terminal around 2pm. Then we proceed on to check in to our hotel, but there was already many ppl queuing up to check in, so we decided to have our lunch first. We had our lunch at the hainanese chicken rice restaurant. The food is not bad, just that the serving is abit small for some of us.

After our lunch, we went to check in to our hotel. We gotten ourselves the room on the highest floor at tower 2. But still the room has no view because the room on the wrong side of the hotel.
After settled down, we went to play bowling and have dinner at marrybrown before catching the movie called princess and the frog. After the movie, we went to casino to have some fun. After staying there for like 3hour, my net wining was rm25.

Day 2

By right, we were supposed to have breakfast at 8.30am, but because we slept very late, I only slept at 4am, all the guys couldn't wake up. It was went joyce called our room, then I managed to wake up. By the time we wash up and get ready, it was already 9.30am. The queue at the cafe was also quite long, and we took another 15min before we manage to went in to have our breakfast. The food they served was exactly the same as before.

After breakfast, we went to casino again to gamble. Haha, we manage to find one game which just see how lucky you are. Dun need to use brain to think. The game is very simple, just get a card which is bigger than the banker and u will win. So I manage to win 130rm during that 2hours in the casino.

After that, we went to meet up with the rest who had gone to the themepark. Because the Hi tea buffet only starts at 3pm, so we had another 2 hour to spare, some went to see the ripley's, while the rest continue to gamble at the casino. LOL. This time round, i dun have much luck, and I lost 50rm in 2hours. After that, went to have our hi tea buffet at resort cafe. The food was ok, at least better than first world. And their chicken wing are nice, I ate 7 chicken wing in total. haha.

After the buffet, everyone is feeling tired so we decided to went back to the room to play Citadels.
After Citadels, we had our simple dinner at hou mei 好味. After the dinner, we went to coffee bean to relax and enjoy the cold nice weather. After that, we proceed back to the casino to win more money!! but sadly, I lost another 100rm. then before going back, I go back to play my big small and manage to win some money back. so in the end, my net overall wining is rm50!
After that, cq,ks and I went to eat supper at marrybrown.

Day 3

Today, we all manage to wake up JIT. There wasn't any queue at the cafe, the food they served is still the same old thing. I cannot imagine having to eat those food everyday. After breakfast, all the shop still haven open, so we went back to the room to play cluedo. After that, we then went to shop. We had our lunch at old town before boarding our coach back to singapore. We reach singapore quite late at abt 10pm because of the jam at KL.

UNIVERSAL Studios Admission

UNIVERSAL Studios on Wednesday announced the long-awaited ticket prices for its theme park on Sentosa.

A one-day pass for weekdays will cost $66 for adults, $48 for children and $32 for senior citizens. For weekends, public holidays and eve of public holidays, a day-pass will cost $72, $52 and $36 respectively.

For those who want to beat the snaking queues which are expected at theme parks, they can buy an express pass, on top of the regular admission charge. The express pass is $30 for weekdays and non-school holidays, $48 for weekday rates during school holidays, and $68 for weekends and black-out dates. This express pass will give the ticket holder priority access to all the attractions and rides within the theme park. The number of such passes are limited daily.

Visitors to the park need pay only one price to get access to 24 attractions, 20 of which will be opened when the park is ready for operations, along with 30 themed restaurants and food carts, as well as another 20 retail shops and kiosks.

The theme park is expected to greet its first visitors early next year when the $6.59 billion integrated resort, Resorts World at Sentosa, opens its doors. In the first phase of its opening, it will open the theme park, casino, four hotels, a theatre with an aerial circus show and a half-kilometre strip of restaurants, bars and retail outlets.

Rates for three of its hotels were also revealed on Wednesday, with rates at Festive Hotel starting at $400, Hard Rock Hotel rates going at $450 and Hotel Michael rooms going for at least $500.
